Some careers are built one project at a time, while others begin with a particular way of seeing the world. The story of Brunet Arquitectes brings both together: three decades of professional experience and an architectural vision grounded in respect for place, technical precision, construction quality and the desire to create spaces that improve people’s lives.
A vision that began in Manacor
Thirty years ago, Llorenç Brunet began this professional journey in Manacor. He did so with the vision of a young architect who understood architecture as a means of transforming ideas into space, material and life. From the outset, the aim was to strike a careful balance between contemporary design, integration with the natural environment and respect for the identity of each place. That initial intuition has since become an established body of work. Over three decades, the studio has developed high-end residential projects, luxury villas, Passivhaus homes, comprehensive refurbishments, historic restorations, public facilities, competitions and institutional projects.

Architecture rooted in Mallorca
The studio’s origins are deeply connected to Manacor and Mallorca. This relationship with the territory is not merely geographical; it defines a way of working. Landscape, orientation, Mediterranean light, local materials, topography and traditional architecture are the starting point for many projects. Each site is studied individually, avoiding generic solutions and seeking a response tailored to the context, the client and the way the building will be inhabited.

Luxury villas shaped by landscape
One of Brunet Arquitectes’ most representative areas of expertise is the design of luxury villas in Mallorca. Throughout these 30 years, the studio has created exclusive homes in which quality goes far beyond floor area, finishes or the monetary value of materials. True luxury lies in spatial proportion, natural light, views, privacy, silence, thermal comfort and the seamless relationship between home and landscape. Each villa is conceived as a unique project. Architecture adapts to the land, solar orientation and the specific needs of its owners, while terraces, courtyards, porches, pools and gardens become natural extensions of the interior spaces.
Historic restoration and built memory
Renovation and restoration have also played an important role in the studio’s history. Working with a historic building requires observation, study and understanding before design begins. Every property contains a memory shaped by materials, construction systems, proportions and successive transformations. The goal is not to freeze a building in the past, but to recover its value, adapt it to present-day needs and ensure its continuity. Brunet Arquitectes approaches these interventions with respect for the existing architecture, introducing new solutions for comfort, accessibility, efficiency and functionality without erasing its identity.
High-quality comprehensive refurbishments
Alongside heritage restoration, the studio has extensive experience in the complete refurbishment of homes, country houses and urban properties. A high-quality renovation involves far more than updating finishes: it requires reconsidering spatial organisation, structure, services, lighting, insulation, energy efficiency and the relationship between different areas. Three decades of experience allow the team to anticipate problems, coordinate specialists and control each stage of the process, preserving architectural coherence from the first concept to final completion.

Institutional architecture and collective projects
Brunet Arquitectes’ work is not limited to private residences. The studio has also developed public competitions, facilities, institutional interventions and projects connected to culture, heritage and shared spaces. In these commissions, architecture must be accessible, durable, clear and responsible in its use of resources. This experience has strengthened the studio’s ability to address complex programmes, specific regulations and multidisciplinary teams, bringing to public projects the same values found in its residential work: respect for context, precision, construction honesty and care for people.
Passivhaus and premium sustainability
Sensitivity to the environment has led to one of the studio’s key areas of expertise: sustainable architecture and passive-house or Passivhaus design. For Brunet Arquitectes, sustainability is not an added trend but a way of understanding architecture through efficiency, comfort and responsibility towards the future. A passive home significantly reduces energy demand through a high-performance envelope, continuous insulation, the elimination of thermal bridges, airtightness, solar control and efficient ventilation. The challenge is to integrate these standards into premium, elegant architecture rooted in Mallorca, where technical performance coexists naturally with stone, light, views, courtyards and outdoor living.
A team that transformed a vision into a legacy
Over time, Llorenç Brunet’s original vision continued to grow. The arrival of Mateu Llodrà and Carme Pascual helped consolidate a team and a studio culture based on effort, professionalism, trust and the constant pursuit of honest, efficient and lasting solutions. Brunet Arquitectes brings together professionals in architecture, design, restoration, urban planning, structural consultancy and project management, supported by a network of specialised collaborators. Thirty years later, that first vision remains alive, now strengthened by experience, technical knowledge, human talent and the trust of everyone who has been part of the journey.
30 years of relationships, learning and commitment
Brunet Arquitectes celebrates three decades of architecture, but also three decades of relationships, learning and commitment. A trajectory built from Manacor and projected towards the future, with the determination to continue creating high-quality architecture that is integrated into its surroundings and always designed with people in mind.
Thank you for being part of these 30 years.
