BUILDING WITH 120 SOCIAL HOUSING UNITS IN CÓRDOBA
In this social housing complex, Brunet Arquitectes takes an innovative approach by using a three-dimensional modular system that allows for spatial flexibility, facilitating both adaptation to the residents’ needs and the maintenance and sustainability of the building. The design is based on a 3.20 x 3.20 x 3.20-meter module, which is repeated throughout the building, creating a geometric structure that offers numerous distribution possibilities. The communal areas, such as interior courtyards and green roofs, foster a sense of community, while the modular structure helps reduce construction costs without sacrificing quality. Each apartment is designed to maximize space and natural light, with large windows and shaded areas contributing to passive thermal regulation. The building also features rainwater harvesting systems and solar panels on the roofs, ensuring efficient resource management and reducing environmental impact.
