CA NA LLARGA
Fusion and harmony between nature and architecture
A strategic point where the best of both worlds merge: a place where you can enjoy the tranquillity and seclusion of the countryside, admire the peace and serenity of the sea but still be able to return to urban life with ease.
An impressive centennial carob tree marks the entrance to our home, which unfolds on a single level in the shape of a cross, offering visitors a wide, horizontal panorama. Both sheltered and seamlessly integrated into the landscape, the house is clad in traditional stone walls that embrace the surroundings, playing on the contrast between void and solidity, and providing the perfect backdrop for a life that balances the communal with the intimate.
At the heart of this design, the kitchen serves as the nerve center: around it, four pavilions are arranged to meet distinct yet complementary needs. Two of them house spacious communal areas conceived for gathering and shared enjoyment, while the other two contain private quarters designed for rest and retreat. In this way, each pavilion gravitates around the central core, generating a natural flow between the realms of socializing and seclusion, and ensuring a perfect equilibrium between the public and private spheres of the home.
This space acts as a distributing element for the other rooms and is the meeting place for the common life of all those who enjoy the house. In this way, Llorenç Brunet Arquitectes managed to configure and formulate a single house in which many lives could be accommodated and which was, at the same time, a common but private space.
Earth, grass, carob, stone, water are the elements that articulate our house and allow us to imagine a walk around and through its architecture, enjoying different spaces, microclimates and visuals. Ca na Llarga is thus configured as the ideal place for coexistence not only among those who live there but also with the environment in which it is perfectly integrated, being the ideal place in which to enjoy life and Mallorca.
