MUSEO ARGUEOLOGICO DEL “PUIG DE SA MORISCA”
Conceived as a “gateway building” that connects the park with the community, this museum not only houses archaeological exhibitions but also integrates deeply with the natural landscape of Puig de Sa Morisca. Brunet Arquitectes uses an exposed concrete structure with translucent openings that evoke the pine forest and create visual continuity with the surroundings. The building’s design allows visitors to experience the museum as an extension of the park, with a volumetry that emphasizes the permanence and durability of the structure. The main entrance is located in an outdoor foyer that gently eases the transition between the natural environment and the museum, through the placement of irregular pillars reminiscent of tree canopies. The museum also includes an auditorium and a library, which are distributed over two floors connected by a topographic ramp and an outdoor courtyard. These elements ensure a continuous and organic visitor flow, while the use of geothermal and photovoltaic technologies enhances the project’s sustainability.
