Last Friday 27th, a business conference was held in the premises of the Balearic Technological Centre of Wood with the aim of creating a space to share the ideas and concerns of the productive sector of the Levante mallorquín. More than a hundred entrepreneurs responded to this event, which began with an extraordinary speech by Mr. Antoni Riera, director of the Centre for Economic Research (UIB – Sa Nostra), in which he expressed the obligation of a transformation of the productive fabric and recalled other similar historical moments. From that moment on, topics such as the relocation of materials and the export of ideas, new technologies applied in the field, the attitudes necessary for the transformation or the change of the energy model towards a more social and conscious production of energy for consumption were dealt with. The topics were alternated with spaces for conversation, aimed at the exchange of ideas among the attendees.
This initiative has been promoted and sponsored by nine companies from different sectors: Generación Fotovoltaica, Solarta, Inti Energía, Grupo Puigcercós, Cotevisa, Grupo Orell, Arquitectos Llorenç Brunet y Asociados, Silleria Llevant and Límite Tecnologías with the support of the Centro Tecnológico Balear de la Madera. The intention is to continue working together to provide efficient and competitive responses to the demands and needs of today’s and tomorrow’s customers.
